The Team

We’re a group of family and friends supporting Didie through this time of unknown, life-altering, exciting experiences.

Didie – Loves to laugh, have fun and be with family and friends. Always positive and encouraging of others. She’s a true inspiration!

Sherri - Didie’s Daughter, Youngest of 3 children (and the prettiest!). Caregiver. Didie’s Taxi Service Married to a Retired Army Soldier & has 1 awesome son. I love that I can be here to care for Mom when she needs me most. We have a ton of fun together.

Carol (or Favorite Aunt as we like to call her-F.A. for short) – Mom’s other caregiver & sister-in-law, although I think they dropped the in-law part a long time ago. She helps me out when I’m stuck at work and can’t get Mom to the doctors or grocery store. But she’s great at getting Mom out shopping, doing fun things & brainstorming up great ideas for fundraising. She’s our “go to” person in the family when we need something. A. Carol & Uncle Tony have been very generous in their donation and time. We are grateful to them.

Scott - Didie’s middle son. Didie lives with Scott, Kris & family. They made up the cutest apartment for her in their house. It’s nice that she can have her own space, be independent for the most part, but have back up right next door when she needs something. They’re a busy family with 3 girls, 2 dogs, 6 kitties and a hamster but Scott still has time to help out with Mom’s lengthy medication process. This means I get to sleep in on weekends! Good thing for me, Scott’s a morning person!

Dean – Didie’s Oldest Son. He lives in Tennessee with his wife, Angel (& she is one) & family of 1 daughter, 1 son & 1 new puppy. They’re the start of TeamDidie, Tennessee Chapter We’re taking this baby national; international if we can! They’re a very busy family with teenagers, school functions and all that, but still have time to help out and keep updated on Mom’s progress.

Claire – Mom’s baby sister. She and Uncle Tony (yep I have two Uncle Tony’s) currently live in Florida. A. Claire is my mom’s source of support, strength, and spiritual guidance. And they both make her laugh uncontrollably! We wish they’d move here – hint hint  

De Anna- She is the one who creates the thoughts behind my words. She pushes me to be better and is the single most capable, intelligent & creative woman I know. This website is her baby and it’s awesome like her! I couldn’t do any of this without her. She is my rock.

SuzyQ – She grounds me. She reminds me that God is calling the shots and keeps me humble. Her spiritual guidance is unwavering and forever needed.

Aunt Connie – who has been our sounding board for fundraising ideas! 

coolbeans- The brains behind this website operation! She keeps it smart. It’s because of her, you’re looking at something well put together & aesthetically pleasing. If it were up to me, we’d probably be looking at one page with a stick figure cartoon holding a sign that says, “plez send $$. money good.” See why I have help??? Everyone say “Thank You, coolbeans.”

The backbone to TeamDidie is the rest of our family, especially our spouses & friends. They continually give us love, prayers, support and laughs. We are grateful.

Finally, the key element to TeamDidie, are my mom’s doctors. What a brilliant, fun & compassionate group of caregivers. They saved my mom’s life once and are helping her get a chance at a second one (third really). They will never know how much we love and appreciate them. Their bedside manner is so superb that we actually look forward to going to the doctors! Kudos!

Oooooops! Didn’t mean to make an Oscar Speech. We’re just very fortunate to have so many wonderful people in our lives that care for my mom as much as I do!
